Description
Production Introduction
WindMast WP350 is a "wind mast replacement" pulse coherent wind lidar. It has the characteristics of compact structure, low power consumption, high precision, etc. It is designed and manufactured according to the IEC 61400-12-1:2017 standard. This lidar wind measurement system is a flexible and reliable device suitable for onshore and offshore wind projects, and it can be used on a wide range of turbine types and provides continuous measurements throughout the project phase. It can achieve high-precision three-dimensional calculations, that is, high-precision terrain mapping and environmental recognition, based on its advanced 3D scanning capabilities. In addition, this lidar can work reliably in all-weather complex environments, including low light, night, and severe weather conditions because it has a reliable air-tight anti-corrosion design.
Features
*Large measuring range
This lidar uses pulsed laser technology to achieve fast response and high accuracy in measuring distance and time. Therefore, it can measure a range up to several hundred meters high and up to thousands of meters wide.
*Low power consumption
Due to its compact structure and special design, this lidar can achieve very little power consumption. At the same time, it can be powered by fuel cells, solar panels and other methods, making it highly flexible.
*Safety
This lidar works without contact, has no electromagnetic interference or radiation, and it fully complies with international eye safety standards, so it has a high level of safety. This significantly reduces the potential risk of workplace accidents.
*Conforms to multiple international standards
This lidar wind measurement system has been verified by international authoritative organizations such as WindGuard, DNV_GL, and SGS. Its data accuracy reaches wind cup level and complies with IEC61400-12-1 standard. The laser source with a wavelength of 1550nm is a Class 1M laser product and complies with the human eye safety EN 60825-1 standard.

Delivery, Shipping and Service
The wind measurement Lidars are packaged in aviation package box, which is made of hard multiple layer plywood with ABS fireproof board. The transport case is anti-shock and water-proof, suitable for long-distance transportation by air or by sea. Inside the aviation package box, there is lining made from Ethylene Vinyl Acetate, also known as EVA. It has the advantages of good cushioning, shock resistance, heat insulation, moisture resistance, chemical corrosion resistance, bacteria and water resistance, and is non-toxic and does not absorb water. The aviation box shall be put into a cage pallet as below for double protection during the transport.

FAQ
Is the Lidar Wind Measurement bankable ?
The ground based LiDARs are fully bankable and reliable, throughout all four stages of wind project development and operations including site survey, wind resource assessment, wind farm monitoring, and performance optimization. The wind measurement experts claimed that LiDAR technology had fully proven its ability over the years to provide wind measurements as reliably as met masts. A wealth of experience showed that the uncertainty levels offered by LiDARs are at least on par with those offered by met masts. The newly updated IEC standards have covered the elaborate guidance for LiDAR validation and verification, to help the industry as a whole to recognize this technology and benefit from the LiDAR technology.
The LiDARs are replacing met masts to become the wind measurement tool of faster, easier and much cheaper to deploy, enabling significant development and operational cost reductions. Lidar technology will greatly contribute to the growth of both onshore and offshore wind power.
